Rano Invites Young Entrepreneurs to Participate in Developing Jakarta

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Rano Karno attended the HIPMI Jaya Regional Working Meeting 2025 at Fairmont Hotel, Gelora Urban Village, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.

We're building our own region

Rano expressed a challenge to the young entrepreneurs who are members of HIPMI Jaya to participate in the development and economy of Jakarta in the future.

"I want to challenge all HIPMI, there is a big opportunity in your area called the Jakarta Investment Festival," Rano said, Friday (7/25).

The JIF activity is an annual routine agenda of the Jakarta Provincial Government inviting collaboration from various countries to participate in development in Jakarta.

Rano explained a total investment project portfolio worth Rp 430.9 trillion, or approximately USD 26.9 billion, is being offered in the program, which is scheduled to run from this July to October 2025.

The various investment projects offered include development projects in various regions, such as Pasar Baru in Central Jakarta, which will become a cultural shopping district. The Ancol, JIS, Sunter Lake, and Cincin Lake areas in North Jakarta will become Jakarta's New Belt. The Cawang Hub area in East Jakarta will become Crossroad East and the Metro Jakarta Transport Interchange.

Rano added that JIF 2025 is one of his efforts to develop Jakarta through investment from various domestic and international parties. He hopes that HIPMI Jaya, as a local figure, can also be active and play a strategic role in Jakarta's future development.

"I deliberately threw this out there because I'm waiting for HIPMI's involvement in Jakarta. We're building our own region; you need to get involved, don't just be a spectator in your own village," Rano stated.
